The playtest is free, and it runs on Steam from Thursday 24 September at 6 PM EDT (22:00 UTC). On the store page, press Request Access under “Join the Valdrys Playtest” — you can ask now, and Steam lets you know when you are in. Early Access follows in late 2026 at $14.99, bought once; its date will be announced on Discord and here first.
Why the wishlist matters
Steam decides how many people ever see a small game by one number: wishlists before launch. Valdrys has no publisher behind it. Adding it costs nothing, takes ten seconds, and is the single most useful thing you can do for the game before release day.
What you get
- Bought once, no subscription. Five classes with two specialisations each, solo and group dungeons, guilds, the market, the ranked arena, world bosses on a schedule, and one full-loot zone that is entirely optional.
- No launcher, no website account. Steam installs and updates it. Make your character on the first screen.
- Windows, about 400 MB. One live server for everyone.
Your character survives
Characters made during the beta carry forward. Exactly one wipe is reserved, at 1.0, announced two weeks ahead — and veterans keep a keepsake. It is written down in the charter.
